A Clean Sweep

‘Can we come over and see you this afternoon?’ they asked.
‘Of course!’ I answered.
Then I looked around. Aargh! The house was a mess. I rushed around, tidying, vacuuming, dusting …

Phew! I finished just as my visitors arrived.

When I am Rich I won’t have this problem. I’ll employ a cleaner.

But then I’ll have another problem. Old habits die hard so I’ll have to rush around, tidying, vacuuming, dusting … because I wouldn’t want the cleaner to see my messy house!

Know how you feel - just had friends to stay - it was great but I feel as if I spent all last week getting ready! My house wasn't bad but I still felt the needs to spritz everything!!!

yes, that's exactly how it is.
However, these friends of yours, are they 'good' friends?
So what's with the cleaning before they come?

I have to say I would have done exactly the same and would def have to clean before a cleaner entered the house :-) A x

Exactly the same here. If someone calls to say they are on their way I will use every second to dust and vacuum before they arrive. Ditto on the cleaner.

I don't remember seeing your post on my dashboard but then the last week or so has been chaotic. Sorry I'm so late.
